CSU Math Faculty Members Participate Symposium on Biomathematics at Indonesia

Two (2) Caraga State University (CSU) Mathematics faculty members: Ms. Airish P. Pelemeniano and Mr. Jeriel S. Rendeza, were selected as participants to attend the annual forum “Symposium on Biomathematics 2019” held at Harris Hotel and Residences Riverview Kuta Bali, Indonesia on August 25-28, 2019.  

An annual forum on International Symposium on Biomathematics (Symomath) is a multidisciplinary forum for promoting and fostering interactions between mathematical, biological and related industrial communities in studying various phenomena in biology, ecology, infectious diseases, medicine, bioengineering, environmental sciences and more.

The event was sponsored and organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences ITB, International Mathematical Union, University of Gunadarma, Institute for Research and Community Services ITB, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and Reasuransi Indonesia Utama. This gathering is an avenue for researchers from almost 10 neighboring countries in Asia to share common interest in this field of research.

Mr. Jeriel S. Rendeza presented his paper entitled “Mathematical Modelling on Carbon Sequestration”, and is subject for publication under scopus journal. Moreover, one of the known senior researcher from University of ITB was hooked by his paper that urge him to offer Mr. Rendeza a collaboration in the said research study.
